  1. Check you are joining the real network

    Criminals sometimes set up a network with a name very like the real one, such as Hotel_Guest instead of Hotel Guest. Ask staff for the exact network name and whether it has a password, or look for it on an official sign. If two networks have almost the same name, ask before joining either.
