Use this guide when your printer has power and ink but your laptop or phone says it is offline, or jobs sit in the queue and never print. Have the printer, the device you print from and access to your router or its admin details nearby.
Step by step
Prove where the fault is
Print a network configuration or Wi-Fi status page from the printer's own control panel (usually under Settings, Network or Reports). If it shows 'not connected' or no IP address, the problem is between printer and router; if it shows an IP address beginning 192.168 or 10., the printer is on the network and the problem is on your computer or phone. Write the IP address down, because you will use it in later steps.
